If you feel like every October you are scrambling to find a decent halloween costume for an affordable price then you came to the right place. This year I'm going to be sharing five easy/basic halloween costumes with you all so you can look fabulous on a budget and still be festive for spooky season. Halloween Costume #1: Raven from Teen Titans

This costume is for the girls, gays, & they's who want to pull off a dark and mysterious vibe this halloween. Raven from Teen Titans is the perfect mysterious and enchanting costume for the last minute look. You can even take it a step further with the purple temporary hair dye to pull the look together. Halloween Costume #2: Mavis Dracula

If you still want that dark feminine energy, but a bit more cutesy than I'd recommend cosplaying as Mavis Dracula for halloween this year. Also linked on my Amazon Storefront under 'halloween'. The great part about this costume is that the base could be something you already own from your closet. A little black dress is a staple throughout the year for me, so if do need to purchase one for this costume, you can still wear it again throughout the year. I love wearing regular clothes for halloween costumes and than just accessorizing where I see fit for a simple halloween costume.

Halloween Costume #3: Men in Black

The great part about the "Men in Black" Halloween costume is that you can make it as masculine or feminine as you want. Whether you pull from my list on Amazon, thrift some items from your local thrift store, or steal from your dad's closet -- you can really make this costume fit you and your own look. Don't forget the key accessories though!

Halloween Costume #4: Your Favorite Disney Princess

You can really dress this costume up or down depending on what look you're going for and the events you will be attending this year. I dressed up as my favorite Disney Princess, Tiana, last year for halloween in 2024. I dressed this look up with a beautiful satin sage green dress from Lulus.com.

I got the headband the day of halloween from Target, but if you're looking for a real crown Amazon has great options or you can stop by Spirit Halloween in person to shop!

Halloween Costume #5: Velma from Scooby-Doo

Velma from Scooby-Doo is the perfect last minute costume for you if you already have a preppy style and want to make it more alluring or cutesy. All you really need for this costume is a variation of a orange top and red skirt or bottoms.

The great thing about this costume is that it's so simple and easy that you could thrift this costume like I did in 2024 or pull from what you already have in your closet. I love thrifting halloween costumes online with ThredUP because I already know exactly what I want. This way I can filter out what doesn't fit the costume "guidelines" and find exactly what I need with one quick search.
